It is possible to rearrange the order within Toast 6, but we needed to completely reverse the order of 99 pictures, so I went back to iDVD, which preserved the order of the iPhoto album.DVDFab DVD Copy for Mac is one of the best Mac DVD burners for you to copy/clone/burn DVDs the way you like. The only problem with Toast 6 and slideshows was that the order of the photos wasn't easily controllable - the photos were ordered by some unknown parameter (file date on disk?). A more complicated solution is to prepare the slideshow as one QuickTime movie before trying to burn onto DVD. If you have more, the simple solution is to split them into 2 slide shows. That means a maximum of 99 pictures in a slide show. There is a limitation in the DVD format of 99 items. Until I update from OX 10.2.8 to panther 10.3. My superdrive went kaput and I can't burn in iDVD Have a Lacie external DVD burner that uses Toast as I've tried that and didn't like the result because of play back problems. That requires burning a data disc in ISO 9660 format which I don't think you can do with Toast 6 Lite. Some DVD players will display pictures of jpegs burned to CD media. Each slide show photo is its own MPEG file rather than part of an MPEG video stream. The difference is that to advance (or go back) from one picture to another with a slide show you press the chapter skip key on a DVD players remote (or wait for the automatic advance after a preset number of seconds).

However, they play as a movie rather than as a slide show. These can have panning and zooming along with music. There also are applications such as iMovie, iPhoto, Photo-to-Movie and Motion Pictures that can make movies from your slides. Then choose Save as Disc Image and select the Image File setting in Toast's Copy window to burn the disc. If you have either iDVD 5 or 6 you can have iDVD create one of these slide shows but also include music. There is no music with this kind of Toast slide show.

You can rearrange their order in the edit window. Additional slides can be seen by clicking the Edit button next to the Title. Toast will create a Title with the top slide showing as the thumbnail. The window should say something like "Drag video files or pictures here." Select a your pictures in iPhoto (up to 99 at a time) and drag them as a group to Toast. In the video window choose DVD video as the format. I'm not sure if Toast 6 Lite creates DVD slide shows but it is easy for you to find out.
